My name is Elex Ridings. I have been fishing since I was old enough to wade Little River in East Tennessee with my best friend. I moved up to getting my boat, "My Mistress" (lovingly named by the wife). I have 3 daughters and each of them and my wife have fished in tournaments with me. None of them shared my love of fishing until my granddaughter. Being 6 years old, she still has not mastered sitting on the lake for hours at a time... but she loves sitting in the garage with me while I make my tackle. She is the real reason for "Poppy's Jigs." She calls me Poppy. She can tell you how a jig is made, names the main colors and can look at a skirt and tell you if there is too much of a color in it. I am proud of that little girl. I always wanted to own my own business. I have been making my own custom tackle for a couple of years and decided it was time to branch out. I take great pride in my products. My business has grown from a dream to being in a couple of local stores and my facebook page. We are working on a new webpage. This page is temporary until the other one is ready to roll out.
